Briefing note from ASAP: the Home Office Consultation on Reforming Support for Failed Asylum Seekers and other Illegal Migrants

At the beginning of August the Home Office announced plans to overhaul the asylum support system and launched a public consultation: ‘Reforming support for failed asylum seekers and other illegal migrants’ and Impact Assessment.  Deadline for responding to this consultation, is 9 September 2015.  The changes will be included in the forthcoming Immigration Bill, which is to be published on 15th September.

2015 we will be walking signature llw banner (2)Please join our ASAP team on May 18th to walk the London legal Walk and raise much need funds to reduce asylum seekers destitution.

 What is the walk?

Is a lovely jaunt round London with 8000 other walkers to raise funds, see last years map and more information below for walkers:

When is the walk?

Monday May 18th registration happens between 5 – 6pm.

Why do the walk for team ASAP?

Apart from getting to wear a really fetching green ASAP t-shirt and walk with lots of lovely people supporting ASAP. You will raise much needed funds which help destitute asylum seekers access their legal rights to food and shelter.
