This training provides an overview of the asylum support appeals process. It is a top up session for those who have a good knowledge of the asylum support system.

Course contents:

• The right of appeal
• The different stages of an appeal
• What to do after the appeal

Suitable for:

This session will not provide an overview of asylum support. Advisers are expected to have a working knowledge of asylum support application process.

Learning outcomes

This session aims to explain the asylum support appeals process. By the end of the session participants should be able help clients submit an appeal and be confident in using policy and legislation to appeal negative Home Office decisions.
